North Star Emergency Vehicle Service, Inc. was formed in 2009 by Victor Gee of Woodruff, WI, with the goal to provide the fire departments of Northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with on-site testing, maintenance, and repair of their fire apparatus and vehicles.

Shortly after starting North Star I purchased the pump testing equipment and customer list of Dennis Bogenschneider of Theresa, WI. This expanded our customer base from a small corner of Northern Wisconsin to departments in Marathon, Adams, Sauk, and Washington counties; to name a few. Since then we have grown to serve departments in most all parts of Wisconsin.

As the Fire Chief of The Woodruff Fire Department since 2019, Victor understands the need to balance budgets while still meeting safety standards.
